Evidence before claims

What RetailRadar knows—and what it does not.

We publish recent Canadian retailer observations, qualify price movement, and make the limits visible so the final decision stays grounded.

Methodology updated July 27, 2026.

Freshness

Public product data must clear a current-observation gate.

A record needs a valid identifier, product name, supported retailer, positive price, safe retailer URL where required, and an observation no older than 24 hours.

Deal qualification

A markdown is an observation, not a popularity claim.

Public deal hubs require a current price of at least CAD $5, a higher observed regular price, and a discount between 10% and 80%. Implausible, financing, accessory-like, unsupported, and stale records are excluded where those rules apply.

Coverage

History can contain gaps.

Charts reflect RetailRadar observations. Store, postal code, membership, marketplace seller, tax, shipping, and availability can differ from the public record.

Decision boundary

Marketplace economics require marketplace evidence.

RetailRadar does not infer demand, rank, Buy Box state, fees, restrictions, ungating, authenticity, invoice acceptance, IP risk, or profit from a source price. Verify those details in current authorized systems.
