Clear data, honest limits
How RetailRadar Data Works
We show recent Canadian retailer observations, identify meaningful price movement, and tell you where the data stops so you can make a better final check.
Methodology updated July 26, 2026.
Fresh public product data
Public product pages use RetailRadar Search V2 observations from supported Canadian retailer pipelines. A product needs a valid identifier, name, retailer, positive current price, safe retailer URL where required, and an observation no older than 24 hours. Stale, future-dated, nonpositive, malformed, open-box/refurbished, accessory-like, financing, and unsupported records are excluded where those rules apply.
How a price drop qualifies
Public deal hubs require a current price of at least CAD $5, a higher positive observed regular price, and an observed discount between 10% and 80%. Accessory, financing, third-party marketplace, and implausible records are excluded. A result is a current RetailRadar observation—not a popularity, sales-volume, clearance, or all-time-low claim.
History and coverage
Price-history charts reflect RetailRadar observations and can contain gaps. Current public windows are up to three days for Costco and up to seven days for other supported retailers. Store price, postal code, membership, seller, taxes, shipping, and availability can differ.
What you still need to verify
RetailRadar does not infer Amazon or eBay demand, rank, Buy Box state, fees, restrictions, ungating, authenticity, invoice acceptance, IP risk, or profitability from a retailer price. Verify those details with current authorized marketplace sources and your own account.
