Barcode research workflow

Use a barcode to start the match—not declare one.

Validate the barcode once, then open focused searches in RetailRadar, Amazon Canada, Amazon US, and Keepa. The tool prepares research links; it never claims that one UPC guarantees one ASIN.

Start with evidence

Enter a GTIN-8, UPC-A, EAN-13, or GTIN-14

The browser validates the barcode checksum locally. RetailRadar does not collect an Amazon password, seller token, or Keepa credential for this public workflow.

Matching standard

A valid barcode can still lead to the wrong listing.

A UPC search can return zero, one or multiple candidate listings. Brand, model, colour, size, condition, region, included accessories, and pack count must all agree. Stop when the source product and marketplace evidence conflict.

Verification checklist

Confirm the physical product before modelling profit

01

Match identity

Compare manufacturer, model number, variation, condition, and packaging. Similar titles are not sufficient evidence.

02

Match quantity

Confirm single unit, bundle, multipack, size, weight, and every included accessory. Quantity mismatches can invalidate the comparison.

03

Check the catalogue

Review images, bullet points, category, and variation family. Marketplace catalogues can contain duplicate, stale, or incorrect barcode assignments.

04

Check your account

Use current Seller Central data to verify eligibility, restrictions, fees, condition rules, and the exact listing you are permitted to sell.

Complete the sourcing workflow

Use source-price observations for discovery, marketplace systems for listing evidence, and a complete cost ledger for the decision.

Start with better source data

Find the source product before matching the listing

Search Canadian retailers, inspect price movement, and keep only the products worth validating.
